Coco Chanel circa 1920

Always something on her mind

Apparently Coco Chanel was linked to helping the Nazis during the German occupation of France in the 1940s. The allegations mention that she worked for Walter Schellenberg – a general in the SS intelligence. Schellenberg was released from prison in the 1950s due to terminal illness. When he died shortly after, Chanel apparently paid for his funeral. For further reading, read Sleeping with the enemy: Coco Chanel’s secret war.
