It all started with needing a backpack that has a sleeve for my suitcase handle. I am currently using a backpack that does not have this feature, and it’s a pain in the you-know-what, having to constantly wear the backpack or hold both the backpack and carry-on handle together while perching the backpack on top of my rolling carry-on suitcase and praying it won’t slide off. So then, off I went on a search for a travel backpack.
I started looking for computer backpacks that have a suitcase sleeve as I will be going on some work travel this year. And my mind broadened to what other travel plans I may have in the future. As our kids are bigger, I think we can take them along to more adventurous places that we couldn’t take toddlers to. But really, why don’t all backpacks come with a travel sleeve?
As travel is opening back up and COVID has changed from a world wide pandemic to being endemic, people will resume traveling. And traveling big! Or, to be more exact-I want to travel big: farther and longer than before.
Which means traveling to some far places like Europe and Asia. I’ve gone down the rabbit hole of packing lightly, but still need to ensure my valuables are safe when I’m traveling.
These are more travel friendly:
- Antitheft / antislash / RFID protection
- Various sizes for different travel purposes
- Water resistant to keep items dry
- Light weight to reduce weight from carrying
